Never stop running !

Owing to one thing and another, I didn't run for 12 days! So on Wednesday, I mapped out a new route and off I went. All felt fine, up until 4.5km and I started to feel really drained. I made it to the end of the 5km and then did the 5min walk home. Within a couple of hours of finishing, I had tight hamstring in both legs, groin pain on the righthand side and felt generally cr*p! 2 days on and there is still some pain. I'm planning on doing parkrun tomorrow, so will take some Ibuprofen today and see how I go. From now on, I am going to have to make the time to run and not leave such a big gap from one to the other!!

Happy running, all :D

Good decision not to leave it & then overdo it. 👍

Obviously the 12 day running gap has had an effect on you. Hopefully you'll feel good enough to do parkrun. Good luck 😊
