So this morning I was up early to do w8r3. Having had a few days off I was really up for the challenge, feeling really good and all in all it really went well.
The outward 14 mins I was hitting a head wind and this was really new to me but I coped and I felt it didn’t hinder me.
Turning around to run the 14 mins back to the start I had now run further than ever before and when Laura said I have 5 mins left I was surprised I was ahead of my time. I think because I have had markers for the last two runs of where I was at, at certain times along the run.
With a minute to go I upped the pace a little and finished way past where I started. Got home and get this - I looked at my strava and it had only recorded 0.08 of a mile & 57 seconds ! Argh 😤 was it a problem having it in my pocket as I usually just carry my iPhone in my hand ? I’m off to get an arm strap from Argos now before work and see how I go with that - anyone else had this problem with strava ?
That said I was really chuffed with my run, gonna try some knee strengthening & IT band exercises Ive seen recommended in the group as Ive suffered with them in the past & looking forward to week 9 and qualifying - woop woop bring it on ! Have a fantastic weekend everybody 🖐

I use Strava with my phone in a pocket on my leggings, and it's fine most of the time. Sometimes though it will have a glitch and either cut out or come up with ridiculous splits - mine tried telling me I was running at 5.29 pace this morning, and I would need rockets to go that fast!
Glad you enjoyed your run despite the tech problems. All the best for graduation!
You're doing great and sound as if your enjoying running which will really make a difference. I had always used Strava and I only ever had a problem with 1 run where half of it was missing. Let us know how you get on with the arm strap. Well done you 😊
The glitch with tracking isprobably more to do with your device than the app itself, but of course impeding GPS reception is bound to make a difference.
I had a few problems with Strava but mostly because I’m technologically challenged. Did you lock your phone? That was one of my issues. Happy running. You’re nearly done. 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️😊
Not sure, tbh as it opens with thumb print or code. I thought it was locked. But I do need the arm holder so at least I can carry some water.... I was running out of hands ha !
