W3R1 done!

Had an extra rest day as we were away for the bank holiday so it was a bit tougher to motivate myself to go out but really surprised myself. The first 3 minute run was much easier than I expected. 2nd was tougher on my ankles but got there.

I’ve been finding the posts on here so useful and I’ve picked up loads of tips.

Off to buy my first pair of running shoes tomorrow. Don’t want to break the bank. Any suggestions?

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 3. The best place for you to buy a pair of proper running shoes is a specialist sports shop, normally you will get a gait analysis which should be free, after that the person in the shop will recommend which shoes are best suited for you. Onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 3.

Great running. If you're going for a gait analysis they will tell you what shoes are right for you. To keep the price down you can ask if they have last year's model in them instead of what's just out. Good luck 😊

Lenny30, go to a running shop if you can. I got Hoka one one running shoes. I have a dodgy knee and need some extra support. You can get a gait test done. This correctly fits you for your needs. Hope this helps

Great running. Your friendly local specialist running store should ask lots of questions, including budget, during your visit. Hope you get fixed up.
