The start of a new chapter

With less than a year to my 50th I thought I'd better embark on a new journey to improve my fitness and shed around 3 stone. Main objective is to "feel fab at 50" and not an overweight and frumpy mother of 3. The posts on here have really motivated me so thanks to everyone for sharing. Week1, run 1 done, so my journey has begun! Looking forward to graduating in a few months time.

Well done! That’s the hardest run done 🙂

I also started my C25K journey in the run up to my 50th birthday, and I’m still running, 5 years later.

Great for getting started. C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here . I noticed weight loss more so when I was doing the longer runs three times a week but can notice it earlier if you are mindful of what you are eating. Just be patient you will see a big difference in fitness , mental health and weight loss . Good luck 😊😊

Thank you for responding. I'm also starting to eat more sensibly in the hope that both diet and exercise will compliment each other. I am feeling (wierdly) excited about the next 9 weeks... mostly I think down to the sense of achievement it has brought to so many people in this community

Yes the feeling of completing each run is amazing.

I use the Samsung health app and you log everything you eat . If you were interested in finding an app similar 😊
