Getting over self doubt

Just finished w2r3 next run I’m on to wk3, I’m loving the programme but I just can’t envisage myself being able to run 3 minutes yet, I know doing wk1 I didn’t think I would be able to run 90seconds in wk2 but I can and did. Did anyone else feel like this? Should I repeat wk2 or push on to wk3?

Yes everyone does feel like that I think when they look to the next week . Just trust the plan . Your previous runs prepare you for the next. Good luck 😊😊

I think most people feel like that - just give it a go. Really gentle snail pace does the trick. 😃

I made a decision not to look ahead on the program. I just turned on the podcast, (or app) and went out with Laura telling me what to do. I found that much better than worrying about what was coming next. 😄

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is full of tips and also a link to a post about mental approach, which may be helpful for you.........you can do this.

Enjoy your journey.

I finished wk3 last week but have repeated it this week, I really didn’t have the confidence to run the five mins expected in wk4. I will be pushing myself on next week running wk4r1 on Monday hopefully I’ll be ok

I will follow you. Good luck and remember you are my spear head pushing through one week ahead 👍🏼🙏

It will probably be fine. And if you don’t finish it, just consider that a practice run, take your rest day, and have another go. Lots of us have done “practice runs”. 😆👍

Ah thank you everyone for your advice, comments and support. I’ll be doing wk4r1 on a treadmill Monday because I’ll be working so will be running in my break. Hopefully I won’t let myself down
