Hi all, new here, but been running the last 2 weeks through the app. I have Been really enjoying my running and progressing every run, but not sure if I'm ready for wk3 run1 yet with the 3 minutes running.
Do I just go for it and be determined to do it, or re do wk2 run3 again until I feel fit enough to carry on?
I'm determined to do it but not sure if my fitness is good enough yet.
Any advice would be awesome. Cheers

Just do it! I’ve done couch to 5k before and after a couple of years off I’m doing it again. What I learned the first time round is that you can do it! Your body can do it, you just have to believe it (“you are a runner!”).
It’s your mind that will push you through to longer runs (unless injured). You enjoyed the runs so far and they have prepared you for this progression. Just slow down a bit if you get out of puff.
I graduated from week 2 last week and was really apprehensive about week 3. After all, I had spent the 90 second runs checking the timer after a minute, to see how much longer was left!
However, I took the longer runs slowly and concentrated on my breathing. Michael Johnson also gave me a tip about bobbing, which really helped 😄. Do you know, it really wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, and I managed it. The last 3 minute run was the toughes, but that was only because it was uphill. You may well also be surprised how much your stamina has increased already!
Bring on W3 R2! 😊. Give it a go and see how you get on 😊🏃🏻♀️👍
Fantastic! Well done 👍. I’ve just done my run 2. Freezing out there but again not too bad. However, I have stupidly just looked at what’s in store next week 😳😬. Sure it will be fine 😂
I’m feeling exactly the same as you. I’m on run 2 on wk2 and when I look at wk3 it doesn’t feel possible. Just downloaded this app and it helps to see others are feeling the same. We can do it! I will let you know how I get on ☺️
I’m just a little bit ahead of you, but I would say as long as you manage to complete the runs always move ahead. Remember to keep a slow pace if you’re struggling, there really is no minimum speed you need to be running at.
Go for it... keep the pace down... and give it your best determination. If you run 2 minutes it’s progress, 2:30 even better, but I think you can do 3 and surprise yourself.
I feel a little bit like this every week and every week I surprise myself! Go slow and trust in the programme! Good luck and let us know how you get on 👍
I know how you feel! I start week 3 tonight. I’m just going to give it a go. The worse that can happen is I don’t make it and I just repeat until I can. Good luck!
Thanks for all the messages guys. I absolutely smashed it! I did pretty much feel my lungs fall out on the last minute of the final run but smashed it! Onto run 2 tomorrow 👍👍💪💪💪
I'd say do the run, take it slow and steady and I bet you surprise yourself!
Follow the plan and you won't go wrong. Remember it's not a race, its about building up your fitness levels and stamina. WHEN you graduate (and you will 👍), then you can think about pace and speed etc.. But in the meantime embrace your inner 🐌.
