HELP!!! I’m really struggling at the minute to complete my 30 min runs I’ve carried on since completing week 9 and I don’t understand why, I weight less than what I did before I started c25k so would of thought I’d be finding it easier😩 I’m doing know different to what I have always done but it’s a struggle to complete it

Maybe some strength work will help, & doing some shorter and some longer runs.

You might consider going back to week 7, 8 or 9 just to gain a bit more confidence with the program.

It’s hot weather, we’re all busy in the summer with other commitments and it is sometimes hard to get into a routine. Do what you can, don’t beat yourself up about it, you’re doing really well!

Stick with it, maybe go back a week or two and follow that. You can do it!! X

Maybe mix it up a bit for a bit of motivation, try running to music or podcasts? Or change your route?

A change is as good as any.

I wish you luck.

Might be the mind. I'm now 9 runs past graduation but at 30 mins my mind says stop now. I guess that time is a throwback to the C25K course. I've learned to push through that and seem to be going OK. What helped me was carrying on walking another 5 to 10 mins plus of course the cool down 5 mins.

It gets easier. Just like you, in the beginning the 30 minutes was enough, I didn't want to do any more than that and it left me exhausted every time. Now, 12 weeks later, I've managed an 8K run and no huffing and puffing either, you don't realise how much your strength and stamina builds over the weeks and months. Don't get me wrong, i'm no speedy superwoman, 8K takes me 1.25hrs, that's some going for me!

Keep the faith x

Wow that’s amazing well done you! I’m

Not feeling myself at the mo just tired all the time so maybe that’s not helping x

in reply toSkeg

Thankyou I might give that a go when I run tomoz, think maybe your right. I had the excitement of achieving each challenge set on c25k but now that’s not there. So I think my challenge now is to just push on. Thankyou x

Is it getting boring always doing the same. Perhaps mix it up a bit? Not sure how but someone will know on here.

in reply toDoddery123

Yes I think so I try to go different ways and now it’s getting darker earlier at night I can start going at night which I prefer than during the day, nobody needs to see my wobble bits wobbling all over the place. Thankyou!

Try doing a 5k and a shorter run and a really slow run . Find a new route, some new music. Try changing all these things and see if it helps . Good luck 😊

in reply toBuddy34

I was thinking maybe go back to twenty minute run until I feel ready for 30 minutes again. And maybe listen to a

Different person for a change as opposed to jo whiley. Thankyou x

Time to shake it up...new routes..short..slightly faster runs..and some 30 minutes..then some really relaxed slow and steady runs...long, see where you get to runs.

Explore different runs and have fun!

When did you last have break from running?

It is recommended for all runners to have a break of up to a week, every few months You will come back refreshed and raring to go.

in reply toIannodaTruffe

I was naughty and had a three week break as had things going on at home so I am literally starting my second week of getting back to it. I’m fine and ready for it when I’m getting dressed to run and the 5

Minute walk before running 🏃‍♀️ It’s just the running I’m finding really hard

Hi Natty ! Don’t be disheartened...has happened to me too and I have changed a few things. I do a short run, middle of the road one and long one. I sometimes only run twice a week depending on work and how I feel and always give myself a week off now and again...did 10k last Sunday and will run tomorrow.

It’s good to give your body a rest now and again

Wow 😮 10k that’s amazing well done you! Thanks for the advice xx
