Phew found that one hard! Did an evening run this time so already tired before I started but my legs were so heavy. Niggly knee did the usual, painful for the first ten minutes but eased off again for the rest of the run!! Saw some ‘real’ runners gracefully gliding along whilst I huffed and puffed lol will I really be like them sometime soon???

Well done... tough run, tougher runner.

As for “real runners” yes, you’re on your way to being one... will you have the same form and speed of the ones you saw? I don’t know... but if ever you’re at your local parkrun you’ll see real runners of all shapes, sizes, forms, and speeds. In general the more you run the easier it gets (we all get the odd tough one) and the longer you can run for... and you’re on the right plan to get there soon!

Happy running.

Yes, the program is great, its fun and it works. The hardest part is done, you have started... 😊

Enjoy your success as each run builds you up for the next. Good luck with W2 R3.. and remember to stretch after your warm down walk while your muscles are still warm.

Watch that niggle in your knee, are you wearing supportive footwear...

There is a guide to running the program which might be useful to you, here is the link...

Well done you ⭐️ Heavy legs can be a sign of poor hydration, so keep those fluids up. You can do this x

Thank you! I don’t think I did have enough to drink yesterday so that would make sense. I think I’ll keep a bottle of water with me throughout the day to make sure I get enough x
