Week 5 run 1 😱

β€’19 Replies

So, Jo Wiley informed me that this week I’d be doing 3 different runs so of course I had a look at what’s to come!!! Woah!!! Is it really doable as 20 minutes on run 3?!

Also, the C25k programme has really made me look at what I’m eating 🍽I know if I eat junk my run will be a load of junk!

It’s my birthday (just done a birthday run) and I’ve chosen not to have any alcohol because I know my body will feel it on my next run (Friday).

What is happening to me πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Happy birthday. Totally doable. Don't think about it til you get to it, then slow down and enjoy the feeling once you've done it. It's an amazing buzz πŸ˜€

Thank you πŸ˜ƒ

I’m slow anyway. Breathing I find hard-can’t breathe in through my nose when I’m running πŸ‘ƒπŸ˜‚

Breathing settles down as fitness improves. Try in for 4 paces, out for 4 paces. As soon as you get going you'll find it will decrease to 3 paces, then 2 paces, but it's good to get in to the habit of noticing. As your fitness improves your breathing will get easier. Enjoy the running journey. This bit is the most exciting πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘

Thank you-I will remember and do the in for 4 and out for 4 on Friday when I run. Right now, I just gasp πŸ₯΄

you are running with my mate Jo.

If I can so can you. Trust Jo she will look after you. Just dig deep when you need to, bit of grit and determination will serve you well.

Thank you. I’m lucky to live near a beach to run along. Grit and determination for the win πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Happy Birthday. I’ll have to drink one for you I guess and take one for the team... cheers 🍺

Great running today. That 20 minutes is actually shorter than the one you did today... add the brisk walk break in as your body feels that as hard work too! It’s a mental challenge and you’re preparing perfectly for it by the sounds of it. Have a wonderful run.

Haha! Cheers UnfitNoMore 🍻

I hadn’t thought about it like that πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Watch out! All the symptoms of becoming a runner! πŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸΌπŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday and enjoy the changes running brings. (And run 3 of W5 is perfectly doable, or there’d be no graduates on here. πŸ€£πŸ‘)
