I started 10 weeks ago and had to stop 1/2 way through first 3 min-I have just done an hour running so pleased with app.
Question is after hour..
Fitbit 2 says 8.67km 1507 cals
Goals fitness app 7.39km 577 cals
What would you believe??

Hmmm difficult question as (being a techy) there are several factors here. I think..Fitbit dont have GPS so use your phones GPS.
The APP is also on your phone so would be using the same GPS.
One would possible deduce a software issue. More likely on the app as having a quick mooch looks like a small dev company.
My techy instincts are saying go with your Fitbit. If you want to test further try a more well known app. MapMyRun and Garmin and compare the results.
Finally GPS reliability is down to the quality of the hardware in the device. Most phones should have a Broadcom chip in but some of the cheaper smartphones use cheaper chips which could be the issue.
If you need further assistance please raise a support ticket 🤪🤣🤣🤣 (IT joke...)
Both are accurate. The goal fitness app is tracking ONLY your run. I use a fitbit. The Fitbit bit stats reset from midnight so, the 1507 calories is the amount of calories Fitbit calculates you have burnt since midnight as is the distance you have walked/run. If you click on "exercise of this week" - in your case 2 of 5 days it will show you stats specific to that run. When you next go out for a run, as you set off click on the + icon to the right of "exercise of this week" to track your run using your phones GPS. Hope this helps. Fitbit works for me.
Meh, gadgets. You can't trust them.
Just pick one - probably your Fitbit - and take that as the truth. What is important is not the exact number of steps, calories or kilometers, but the trend day-to-day. Your fitbit is likely to be inaccurate the same way every day, and so just look for consistency.
By the way, the folks on this forum are using NHS C25K app. You are using Goals Fitness app and that has you going from scratch to running for over one hour in 10 weeks. That sounds very intense.
