Well...I did it....I woke at 5.30am...donned my running gear and headed out. It wasn't cool, it was muggy and sticky, how is that a thing at this time in the morning?! Anyway, W8R2 in the bag!! But by gum it was sweaty work!! My question, to anyone who understands the technical stuff better than me......yes, that's everyoneπ€£!! Is that, I use a fitbit type activity tracker and the Samsung health app on my phone to track my runs....and they come out with quite different stats after each run? I mean, I know it doesn't matter, I ran for 28 minutes....(still don't know how that happened) but the distance they say I covered varies quote a lot.....do you guys reckon the wrist worn one would be more accurate? Or the phone in the running belt? Or, should I not be bothering to track my runs?? I just quite like to look at how far I can run now......and marvel about the old me, who couldn't make a 60 second run, without nearly being sick, not all that long ago........πππone day very soon, I'm going to casually walk into a running shop and talk about about getting new running shoes....because I'm a runner.....not sure how it sounds out loud yet...but it sounds good in my headπ
Thanks in advance guys, you're all lovely people, and super helpful! There are a lot more like me out there I know....who would never have made it this far with C25K...without all of you cheering us on!π

I love my Garmin and Strava... I am not concerned at all about distance or speed..but I love to see where I have been and then I do appreciate seeing my progress and I can tell how I felt on different days, from, days when I was so relaxed and just out for a jolly time to days when i was a bit short on time maybe..
You are indeed a runner and a great one..you are out there running... you go out and talk about it!!! Be proud!
Aw Oldfloss....you just about made me cry! Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it means so much you know, to know that all of you are out there, rooting for us newbies! ππ...now I just need a tomato face smilie emoji.....
I also use Fitbit and Samsung Health. They always vary by 1-200m. I use ordnance survey maps app to plot my runs and i reckon Samsung is more accurate. Although it never makes sense to me as the Fitbit piggy backs off my phone's GPS!
Yes, that's what I thought Saartjie! Oh well, I'll never be looking to have split second timings for a world record or any such....so I guess it doesn't matter all that much....running is running isn't it?! As long as I can do it, I'm happy to just keep doing it! I'm just planning a slightly different route as, happily, my current one isn't quite long enough for my 28 minute run......you have no idea how good it feels to say thatππππ
Can't offer any advice on tracking, I haven't managed to get any GPS to work yet! But wanted to say a very well done on your progress. (& getting up & out at that time of the morning!) πππππͺ
