After nearly two weeks on injury couch (with a bit of cycling, and lots of cleaning to do to keep me fit and busy), I found myself pacing the lounge desparate to get out... so at 10pm I braved the dark (in lovely moon light) and went out with my two bouncy 'guard' dogs (not) and ran a super slow 2km which nursed my achilles back into the running groove.
It's weird how ones body can regulate the 'ideal' speed, as my Personal Best 5k was at a pace of under 8m/km but last night I was doing (slow japanese running style) 10:30m/km PERFECT!

On a side note, have been expecting an order of running shoes for weeks now, only to find that Hermes 'can't find my address' in portugal, and have sent them back to the UK. I'm really annoyed, but I wouldn't have been able to use them this week anyhow ... just hope when they re-send they can 'find' me! - I will show you my shoe Porn when they arrive!

Happy day (night?) for you! Our bodies are clever machines and slow really is the way to go isn't it? Don't want to be straight back on that IC. Lovely that you had some bouncy companions to help you along too. Look forward to seeing the new shoes
