Thought I’d set off too fast and would never finish. And made the rookie mistake of reading the Garmin in kilometres instead of miles, so it was a bonus to have less to run than I thought as I was knuckling down to do 5 miles! And had some oomph left in the tank for a sprint finish. So all inThoroughly lovely time!

Congratulations on that excellent time at your first parkrun this morning, so you thought it was 5 miles, not kilometres, ha, anyway go now and celebrate.
I was at my second parkrun this morning, but you beat me by 64 seconds, I am not too worried about that as I actually thought I ran it in more than 35 minutes, my result was 34.17. I like it when I get a sub 35 minute 5K.
Congratulations on your first parkrun! Is it well attended? I was working this morning so I did one lap the course last night, all by myself, as part of my first ever 7k run. 😊
