My first parkrun!!!

I just did my first 5k park run in the sun!!! 🏃‍♀️😎☀️ Did my Week 8 run 2 session of 5 minutes brisk walk, 28 minutes run, 5 minutes walk... Then I saw the finish line ahead thought fuck it and sprinted as fast as a gazelle with a big grin on my face for the last minute!! 😀

I started at the back which took a few minutes to get moving, so I wouldn’t be in anyones way while doing my 5 minute warm up walk, then later on the run I found I was overtaking people!! As for that last minute sprint, Ive never ran that fast for years!!! 😁 The buzz afterwards!!

I walked there so now a 2.7k walk back. And yes i was really nervous about it and wether I was ready yet. But I was and I amazed myself!! The buzz... And people are asking and expecting me to be there again next Saturday too 😊

I met and talked to so many lovely new people today. They are expecting to see me next Saturday! And I have also booked time off work for a charity 5k run there 2 October 😁
