So I'd posted recently to say I hadn't run in 4 weeks, which then went to 5 but I did a short run last week ( 2 miles) and felt I could have gone further but didn't want to push it. Yesterday morning I got up at 5:45am and I ran 5k. My pace is usually just under 10 minutes a mile but I kept my pace slow and did this in 11 minutes a mile. I'm pretty impressed with that. Next run tomorrow morning

You hadn't run in 5 weeks and your back to 5k already. Well done you 😊
Thank you I'm pretty chuffed with this. Slow and steady definitely counts for something. Normally I'd be pushing myself but I didn't put on pressure on and I happened to run it...result. I have a 7.5k charity run at the end of the month. I'm hoping to be near to running that, at a slow and steady pace mind.
