You’ll make it... believe in yourself, you can do anything with time, a plan and a bit of work.

Yay well done! It’s so lovely on here, we’re all going through the same process so people really understand. Stick with it, trust the app, and you’ll honestly be amazed what you can do in a few weeks. Slow and steady is the way to go: Oldfloss said to me to tread lightly, “kiss the ground with my feet”, and I found this so helpful. Enjoy the satisfaction and you’ll find it addictive! 😆

Great job.

A few things to say about surfaces, road vs. rough track vs. grass - as you progress you might need to look at different shoes. (warning: excuse to buy shoes....😄)

Road is a hard surface, and it gives good, reliable grip, but also it is unyielding and sends shocks through the feet and ankles to knees and hips - you need may shoes that provide a bit of 'give'.

Grass is not hard, and isn't a very secure grippy surface, so the need here is a grippy sole to the shoes.

Rough tracks are more complicated, so maybe leave that for now, but they are my fave.

As you are a beginner, you may not have well developed foot and ankle muscles yet, which is one reason to use the road. As you move through C25K you will find people recommending a Gait Analysis by a specialist sports shoe shop. You'll know when it's time.

So glad you are making it work.

👏❤

thank you for that theoldfellow any advise is much appreciated, i have 3 horses so my 1st run was round my horses field, which was very uneven and hilly, i tried to stay on the flat today and the road i found easier, i have looked at the gait analysis so thak you for that.

You can do this! So many of us here started out thinking we’d probably fail, and then loads of us turned out to be ‘if I can, anyone can’ cases. You can be one to. Trust the plan, embrace running slowly and you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!

Running is harder on the grass, I’ve only done it once. I’m sticking to my canal path. Keep going you’re doing great 👍🏃‍♀️
