Hi all well I’m a total beginner! My aims are to loose weight get fit and maintain a more healthy lifestyle.
I’m unfit so W1R1 was tough going but I’ve now just completed week 1 and my last run was much easier and I actually feel energised after it not totally wiped out LOL
Feeling optimistic I can manage W2R1 now over the weekend.

Great start. Health and fitness will come through this programme. Weight loss maybe, maybe not... but you should tone up. Weight loss needs good nutrition and running can make you want the right foods without thinking, but not always. I always recommend using a tape measure for anyone looking at weight loss and running. Muscle is denser than fat, so you could lose an inch of your waist and yet put a pound on, so to keep morale up look at the whole picture.
I’d recommend checking in at Weight Loss NHS on here too.
You’re doing great, you’ll be up to week 9 before you know it! And dare I say it, you’ll look forward to your runs, gives you a bit of head space, the very best of luck to you 👍😁
Thank you so much so many people have told me running is great for your mental health. I’m a busy home educating parent and I work part time too so I’m hoping this will give me something just for me.
I do my runs in the morning before I get my kids up for school, it really clears my head and lifts my mood, get week 2 run 1 done, you’ll nail it 🏃♀️🏃♀️
