Week 6 Run 1 - I was looking forward to this one after conquering the 20 minute run in Week 5...
The weather forecast was good. Drove 5 minutes up the road to my usual spot. Headphones plugged in. Start the music. NO. Not happening. Oh well, I can run without it!
Start the C25K app. How do you feel before your run? π OK... let's go! 5 minute walk. πΆπΌββοΈGreat. Start running with imaginary music in my head and all is wellπΆππΌββοΈ... Still running, Laura's not talking to me, check app....It's Stopped! S**t! π© Ok, check time on phone. Ah! I've been running 7 mins! OK... Slow down and walk for 3 mins. Try and restart the app whilst walking. NO. Not having it. OK. 3 minutes up, best start running. Check time on phone, GO! Imaginary music in my head, no Laura spurring my on.... And the heavens opened! β OK. 8 minutes to run. No app, no music. GRIM π’ JUST KEEP GOING, JUST KEEP GOING. Kept running until I got back to the car.
Sat in the back seat, soaked to the skin looking like a drowned rat ππ Shoes off, top off, shorts off! Windows steamed up, thank the Lord π luckily I had a long coat in the car!
Drove home, got out of the car clutching wet clothes and shoes and was met by the neighbour π£
Overall a good run! Strange! But good! And although the times were all over the place... I'm having that one π
