You have done the most important thing which is to get off the couch! So congratulations!! I did c25k at 64 and I've never been a runner. I'm still very slow but I graduated in April and I'm still running! The only advice I can give is to get out there and do those runs. Trust in the programme. It is absolutely brilliant and you will do it , honestly! Sometimes it's hard and if you need to take an extra day of rest or repeat a week that is totally fine. But honestly it's one of the best things I've ever done and does wonders both for your health and your confidence. You are definitely doing the right thing. Best of luck with it all.

I’m 57, and after a healthy eating campaign, have lost weight and graduated. They say you can’t outrun a bad diet, so I adjusted my habits to match my running and now feel grrrreat. And, truly, if I can do it, you can! It’s amazing how fast you will see results. Keep reading the forum. Keep taking it slowly. Enjoy! X

Thanks It’s helping my bad eating habits as I don’t want to undo my good work after my run.

I am older and slightly bigger, and have graduated and just finished my second park run. You will enjoy the process and then enjoy the well being you feel. Also if you want to lose weight, the calories in a mars bar, is a good 30 mins run! Makes you think twice about wasted calories. Well done your on your way.

Hi I’m about your age and weight and haven’t run ( or done much exercise) since my 20s so was dreading getting started. Just finished week 1 and it feels good. The runs are getting better although I can’t imagine doing more than the 60 seconds! On to week 2! Let’s do it together!

I’m feel exactly the same. 1 more run then week 2! We can do this 💪

You could always repeat a week to take things really carefully if you wanted to. I went back from week 6 to week 3 after an Achilles scare. I think it made me stronger and certainly more patient.

Congratulations on starting and welcome. You can do this.

I started at Easter a similar weight to you. I have since lost 19lb by running my 3 runs a week. Making better food choices and using a diet diary app. It was surprising in the beginning how many calories I was logging.
