Week 9 Run 1

Took a while to get Week 9 started as I had a training course most of last week and needed time to commute to it and then study in the evening. I though the 6 day gap would impact me but amazingly it didn’t and the 30 minute run was a delight. Only 2 runs left until graduation now 👍🏻

To be honest I was itching to get back to running but life got in the way last week. So glad it went well as that was a real psychological boost too 😊

This gives me great heart as I've had a week lay off due to various stuff - I'm off for W9R1 now - it's a bit hot/humid here in Northumberland so I'm off to the beach head in search of a bit of air🤞

Good luck with the run - it will be fine I am sure. Give it your best shot and don’t let your mind rule your body. Please keep me updated on your progress - we will graduate together 👍🏻💪🏻

Got it done - felt great - roll on Tuesday. Are you going to Parkrun after graduation?

Definitely - I live in Kent so will try and do all the ones local to me. My next aim is to run 50 parkruns by end of 2020. Always need a target.

That's some target! But hey - bring it on! We have 3 or 4 parkruns close to home so will have a look at them - good idea.

I’ve found that you always need to set yourself goals. At my age I don’t think doing a marathon, half marathon or 10k is doable without the time and application. However, consistently doing what I could achieve is a nice alternative. I hope you do and enjoy you local Parkrun as from what I have heard they have a lovely friendly atmosphere.

I've got a few years on ya bud! (60) Have got a daughter and son in law that run half marathons but also park run every week, so really want to do that with them and my 20 year old granddaughter ( now that makes me feel a bit old🤪😂)
