Sorry if I ramble but really want to share, week 8 run 3 went badly, it was really hot, I had new trainers, it was the evening before I was due to go on holiday. I got really put off because other runners were flying past me at my slow pace, was struggling with breathing. Anyway, I stopped at 23 minutes, was really annoyed with myself but tried to remember a bad run is still good for you, contemplated repeating week 8.
I went on holiday next day, took my running gear, but at 31degrees it was too hot for me, I DID however do 2x30 minute runs on the treadmill in the hotel gym! Much easier on a treadmill I found so was able to manage 30 minutes well.
Back home now, so, last night I did week 9 run 3 outside, 30 minutes, lovely cool evening and I did it. Wasn’t too difficult I quite enjoyed it.
I don’t think I can quite say I’ve graduated until I’ve actually done the whole of week 9 outside can I?

👏👏👏👍🥂🏅🏆👏👏👏👏👏👏
You ran for thirty minutes in week 9. In my book you smashed it!
Lots of folks do all their running on the same six feet of road. You did what most of us did and braved the elements, exhaust fumes & uneven surfaces to feel the sun on your shoulders, the wind in your hair and the scent of the summer wafting past your nose.
Now ask those wonderful admin folk to put a big shiny GRADUATE badge after your name in your next post.
Congratulations. Enjoy feeling wonderful before you read FAQ POSTS to decide what to do next. Just repeat those week 9 runs to consolidate and make being a good runner into a habit. In doors or out!
Congratulations on your graduation and extra kudos for being able to run 30 on a treadmill! My bests are outside: 90, treadmill: 5! Celebrate well and then enjoy some consolidation before your next running adventure
