Week 1 run 1

I’m 34 and couch potato

In the last 5 months I have lost 2 and a half stone on diet alone but it was time to start doing some exercises and because I don’t have gym access I found the app and I thought I will give a try

It was hard at points I was thinking I will loose my lungs ( I’m smoker so that doesn’t help )

But I did enjoyed myself

I have to admit tho I did not managed to run for full 1 minute at the time so I think I will need to repeat week one before I can move on to week two

But I feel great that I had motivation and courage to do it

Well done for getting out there for your first run. It’s daunting at first but exhilarating when you complete a run.

As you say, if you don’t feel ready to move on you can repeat the week 1 runs.

Well done

Welcome! And congratulations Kimm! The start is the hardest part, so well done you. πŸ˜πŸ‘Š

That weight loss is very impressive, you obviously have the determination. The best thing about your comment, is that you enjoyed yourself, that is SO important, enjoy the journey, that's what this is, an amazing journey.

There's absolutely no rush, take your time with this. If you have to repeat runs that's fine. But you can't go too slow, so slow it right down. You should be able to have a conversation.. Make sure you're hydrated, it's hot out there πŸ₯΅

Let us know how it's going, this is a great community for support and advice, so if you have any questions... just ask. Good luck πŸ˜€ Happy Running.. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Great for getting started and yes don't move in to the next run until you've fully completed the previous one . Good luck 😊😊

Welcome.

Yup... it’s hard... but you’re going to succeed by the same means as that weight loss. Determination and mental strength are the keys to getting this done, and you obviously have them. That number in your age we can’t change... but you can be fitter than you were at 18 in the close future. That couch potato thing... that’s already history... enjoy your journey to making it a distant memory.
