Advice if you miss running sessions please.

Hi, I started the CT5K last july, and completed all 9 weeks, wasn't sure how to progress so after a while I did the whole thing over again. In addition I began doing 30 minute runs to maintain my level. Unfortunately had to ease up due to an unrelated injury and gained weight as a result of inactivity. Any suggestions as to continuing please. I am only guessing, but I imagine the fitness/stamina standards plummet fairly rapidly with enforced inaction. Should I start from scratch ?

I suppose it depends when you last ran 😊

A popular week for restarting C25K after a few months off is not at the very start but run 1 of week 3,

I would go to week 4, run 1 as I think your body will remember and that is 5 minutes in one hit. Also, watch the video for the Japanese slow jogging and test injury on this run - it is less impact and slow. Good luck!

I'd start from week 3 or 4 but you'll soon see when you start out where you're up to. Well done on getting back out there, related or not injury is every runners nightmare! Good luck, hope you enjoy it 👍
