Running too fast!

Does anyone else find that listening to music while running makes them run too fast?? I did my first run on my own yesterday as my other half was busy so I had my playlist going and I ended up having to slow down way before it was time to because I’d been running so much faster without even realising. Does anyone have any tips to combat this. What’s your favourite song to run to??

If you find you're running to the beat of the music , just try downloading slower songs . It just takes a bit of practice . I like fast paced music but only now and again I run to the beat 😊

I know the tempo and pace of most of my music.. I do have favourite songs that get me up hills and over longer distances..ABBA...mostly....🎶😉😉

I only listen to my songs when I’m doing my parkrun. For all other runs, especially the long ones, I listen to podcasts so that I’m not tempted to try and run to any sort of beat.
