Hi all, ive finally finished week 9 ..v pleased..i am super slow but i do carry a lot of weight..im doing 2.5k in 30 minutes..im aiming to do a 5k park run b4 my bday in November and would like to do it in around 45 mins.Does this seem do-able? I plan to run 2-3 times a week. I loved the app and being able to have encouragement and motivation from Sarah Milican..Can anyome recommend a similar follow on app pleaae?

It is do-able, I was at a parkrun yesterday, if you had ran it in 45 minutes you would not have been last by far, there would have been at least 11 runners behind you, on larger parkruns there could be as many as a 30 behind you.

You are very happy about that, well done, this morning I ran my longest run ever, it was an 8K and I ran it in 61.08, I have been gradually increasing my distance week by week by 1k, next Wednesday I'll run a 9K, that would be around 68 minutes. My 'goal' is to run a 10K in around the 74/77 minutes time.

Firstly, congrats on your graduation ! Don't forget to ask for your badge !

Secondly, I woukd think it should be possible. If you were to run 5k at your current pace it would take an hour. I would think that 3 more months of running would be able to up your speed.

Maybe one of the more experienced runners will be abke to give you hints and tips

You can't be last on a parkrun as there is a tail runner who is always last !

To get your badge type in the "August graduates" thre1d on the pinned posts, and ask our great admins to out your badge up.

Congratulations 🥇⭐️⭐️⭐️ ! If you want to do a 5k, you will do it. Keep it slow and steady, and follow the splendid advice In IannodaTruffe’s After C25k post, which will be with you very shortly, knowing his usual efficiency ! Have fun, and keep us posted x
