1st run in week 5 tonight! πŸ€”

When I looked at week 4, after completing week 3 I panicked and thought I would re do last run of wk 3. However, in the end I didn't and I actually completed all runs in wk 4. So tonight, rather than re do last run in wk 4 I will try week 5. I have much more confidence in my ability now, and being part of this community has helped immensely. Not really a point to this but felt the need to post! Have a runtastic rest of the week. πŸ˜†πŸ˜Š

I kept thinking this way too but am just trusting in the programme, leaving the rest days in between, and going for it! Best of luck for week 5, you’ll smash it! πŸ‘ŸπŸŽ‰

Great post and you'll find your confidence keeps on growing with each run. I know some people don't look ahead in the programme to see what's coming up next but I always had to know what I was letting myself in for! πŸ˜‚

Well done - you don't always need to ask anything to post, we're always happy to hear about progress and sweat and red faces, even if that's all there is :D

Well done. Just keep going. I don’t look ahead, I just follow the instructions and try to relax into it. But everyone is different. Enjoy week 5 I know I am 😊

Ah cool!! Hope you enjoyed? I LOVED it!! I never thought I would ever hear myself say that I love running but I REALLY DO. It was nowhere near as hard as I thought, and I am so chuffed I did it. Enjoy the rest of W4 xx

Quality, I know exactly what you mean - was so anti running when at school and later when playing rugby but so all over it now thanks to C25K πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thats awesome, gotta do what we gotta do, I honestly didn't think I could have done it and fully expected to re do at least the last w4 run, but I really did surprise myself. Feeling good. Hopefully you will get through w4 again and totally smash w5!!

Mine is tomorrow too!! Although I am a little worried about my left calf, started pulling at the end of work today, so will see how it goes. Good luck! let me know how you find it 😊

Honestly It went fine at 7.30 am. Trianer theme was you have done more physically harder runs than this so this more about the mind. Take it easy no rush. Once done it will give confidence for run3. Hope the calf goes ok. Good luck

Oh thats brill, nice one, am chuffed it went well for you. Thank you, I waited an extra day just to make sure re calf and it behaved. Did w5 r2 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Felt so good afterwards. My lad came with me on his bike and we chatted, run on my own usually so couldn't test the 'the speed you tun should be able to let you talk'thing. Was good. Looking forward to r3 which is a 20minute run πŸ™Œ

Thanks. Well done twice over πŸ‘ πŸ‘ as you had the additional calf concern to get over. So pleased for you. Hope the lad enjoyed the ride along. I did W5R3 Sunday morning. It went fine. My companion was Tony Blackburn 60's podcast (it's an age thing πŸ™‚) which stopped me looking at my bog standard watch. Looking forward to you coming back saying W5R3 all done - you can do it. Good luck

Thank you, again, he did thank you, just back from W5R3, flippin loved it!! My in ear companion was Alice Cooper this evening, interspersed with my lad telling me well done and you can do it!! Have you done any of W6 yet? if so, how was it?

Well done on the run and loving it. Your son is right you can do it!! If not already he could be a coach. Yes did W6R1 Sunday 7.40 a.m in the drizzle, It went ok but a word of caution note the overall walking/running time is the longest yet so save some energy for the last run. Hadn't intended to but its looking like I'm catching the running bug. I only got started via life events, one leading to another. Just clicked on you tube to get a refresher on Alice Cooper, Poison was playing, that's certainly upbeat for me πŸ™‚. Good luck on your next run - yes you can do it. Mine is due this Thurs around 7. 30 a.m.

He is my coach, bless him. He did try the c25k but doesn't like running so no point. He would rather be on 2 wheels. I too have the bug, I really look forward to my next run and have to stop myself from going out again consecutively. A positive move for you!. Haha I loved Alice as a teenager, still do, I paid a whole 99p to get add free spotify app so have a plethora of different artists in my ears on a run. Left Lane Cruiser are good too. I keep one ear bud in as I do find music helps me keep going. Thank you, you too. Thanks for the heads up too! Enjoy tomorrows run! 😊

Hi anymore runs of late?. I did W6R3 this morning. Didn't sleep to well so a bit hesitant but rain was forecast for later so went ahead. On the toxic bit a young thing crossed the road running in front of me so I had a mad moment of I'll track behind - not a good idea πŸ™‚However I did the run plus a bit more so not so bad. The nowhere nearest I come to Left Lane Cruiser is Bits and Pieces by Dave Clark 5 I think - way before your time. I recall that cos as a kid lived in the slums, one of the mates had a party in a house backing onto the pub. The first time we had the landlord come round and said keep the noise down. I'll have a look at that spotify app, thanks. Good luck on your runs.

Hello, How are you?

I did w5r1 Wednesday night I believe, really didn't think I could run for 20 mins but did, well a slow jog. But its still moving haha. Hopefully tonight I will do R2. I feel I may have already told you that so apologies if I have repeated myself. I run between 9-9.30 pm now, used to run at 6 am or before if I woke earlier but not any more. Ha ha, you won't be following a young thing again!! Good on you though :-)

Ooh I have never heard of Dave Clark 5 , will youtube.

Thank you
