I’m sure this has probably been asked a million times but I’d love some advice for taking on Week 5. I completed week 4 successfully, but only just. I found my legs were so heavy and I’m struggling to find a pace that I’m comfortable with. Also, I don’t seem to be enjoying the running as much as I used to...what’s going wrong?? 🤯🤦🏼♀️
Week 5 😬😬: I’m sure this has probably been... - Couch to 5K
Week 5 😬😬
Congratulations on completing week's 1 to 4 of C25K, you must not give up running now, you are just over half way.
Before you start with week 5, take a few extra days off running, once you begin with run 1 of week 5, drink plenty of water the day before you run and run it a little slower than you have been recently, C25K is not a race, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to. 😊 🏃
The best advice I can give you is to take it slow and steady, don't think about it just focus on controlling your breathing.
Trust the program and believe in yourself, while it may seem like an obscene amount of time for the runs you will be fine.
Remember, you never actually fail when running, you can go out and practice a run but if you don't make it to the end then chalk it up as a practice and try again.
Every run you do, and I mean every run, helps your stamina and fitness.
Smile as you are running, it really does help.
I would agree, take it slow, make sure you’re hydrated. I did it on Saturday as was very nervous but it was fine. I looked around me and didn’t get too tied up with how many tracks etc. And was absolutely gobsmacked to have done it. Trust the program, it’s witchcraft and it works
