Well done! This run is such an achievement - both mentally and physically. Beware W6, it can catch you out but the end is now in sight! X

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K regarding the 20 minutes of non-stop running for first timers, well done. Onwards and upwards to runs 1 and 2 of week 6, but take those two runs especially slow as they have interval walking and running parts and have caught out some people after the non-stop 20 minute run of week 5 which you have just ran.

Brilliant - it’s the turning point in the programme. Take it slow on week 6 and happy running 🏃‍♀️

Thank you everyone. I will keep all your advice in mind for wk6. It does seem strange going back to 5 mins when I just did 20, but I am sure it's like it for a reason. I struggled with the 1.5 mins in w2 so I now trust the programme and all you runners completely. Thank you again!

Huge well done you! Move on steadily.. the runs are different but they are perfectly structured for you to follow on from this week. Relax, and know you will do them :)x

Fantastic! I found that run scary and worried about it before hand, basically couldn't believe they actually thought it was possible. After that o e my confidence improved and I felt anything was possible. It'sa fantastic achievement, be proud :-)

Thank you and you too.....I just spent 30 mins in a dentist chair , having a crown prep done. To take my mind of it, I was picturing my run. How has my life changed! 😀

I was amazed when I actually managed the 20 minutes. I had repeated w5r2 x 3 putting off the 20m. Have just done w6r2 and found it hard going in the heat. Will try again next time before going to 25m. Good luck everyone and keep going. We can do this!

I did run2 wk6 yesterday! Like you, I find the longer runs daunting and thinking of repeating the runs instead. But you know what, we CAN do it! If we managed 20mins, we will do the 25! We won't know unless we try so let's go for it! My next run is Monday. I will look forward to hearing/reading about yours. These girls can! 🏃‍♀️💪

How did it go on Monday? I did repeat w6r2 yesterday, changed my route and actually did some uphill running, but yes, I managed and completed the whole 10m x 2 so now I’m ready for the 25 mins. Slight issue, am now in French Alps: “altitude training” and absolutely nowhere flat. Will keep you posted.

Good luck. I found the 25 mins ok. I stayed slow and steady, but managed to speed up for the last minute. I find the first half of the run much harder than the second....hope you find somewhere suitable to run. I find a slight slope (can't even call it a hill) a challenge. ....let us know how you get on.

Almost nearly did it. Managed the 25 mins but had a couple of little walks in the middle so then I carried on running at the end before I did the warm down walk. Considering I’m at altitude I reckon that’s not too bad. So rather than repeat I will crack on with week 7 because it’s the same run and I will convince myself I can do it this time. Mind over matter! Just keep going!

Well done! That's pretty good going.....r2w7 for me today. I underestimated the heat a bit, but I did finish. Like you said- mind over matter. You're doing amazingly well............apologies if my reply appears twice. My phone is playing up..😊

How is week 6 going Zebadee?

Zebadee1 profile image

I have started week 7! I was really a bit worried about the 25 mins at the end of week 6, but thought it couldn't be that much harder than the 20. I was really pleased to complete it and then do it again yesterday as the first run of wk7. I find the first 5 to 10 mins of the longer runs quite hard. Any tips?

And thank you for asking...

in reply to Zebadee1

I just saw this post and was about to congratulate you for running 20 minutes... And then I realised it's 10 days old and now you're running 25 mins! 😂 Outstanding stuff Zeb... you're flying.

Thank you!....I kind of have the same feeling as when reading a really good book. I want to keep going to see what happens next, but at the same time I don't want it to end! 😀

No tips from me I’m afraid as I haven’t done any week 7 runs yet - I’ll be looking for tips from you before long! It sounds as though you’ve got it sorted though!
