Well this was better than run 1 W8. No cramp this time so not so much of a struggle. Thanks for all the support.
W8r2: Well this was better than run 1 W8. No... - Couch to 5K

Glad this run was better for you . Well done 😊😊
Glad you enjoyed run 2 of week 8 better than the first run, onwards and upwards to run 3, not long now until you graduate 😊 🏃
Not sure I enjoyed the run but definitely feel pleased with myself when I’ve completed the run and this time without cramp made it a bit easier for me
OK, I ran my quickest 5K of the year this morning in a time of 33.55, at times it was a bit tiring just like you felt during your run, but felt pleased after I finished, yet to beat my PB of 32.25 which I ran last year. 😊
O my well done. I’m not too sure what I’m going to do when/if I graduate.
If you graduate, of course you WILL graduate.
I have been using a metromone app called "Metromone Beats" to regulate my running this year. It goes from 1 to 300 beats a minute, for my first 5K run I set it at 155 steps a minute and ran a 5K in 52 minutes, three days later I set it at 162 steps and ran a 5K in 37.50, this morning I set it at 168 steps a minute and as I mentioned ran a 5K in 33.55. If I set it at say around 172/176 steps a minute I might be able to run a 5K in 30 minutes or less, but I doubt if I could keep that going for slightly less than 30 minutes.
Well done..just relax into these longer runs
Thank you oldfloss. I appreciate all advice and will try to relax more.
Think chilled out snail
Thanks I’m definitely a snail!!!! I’ll try to chill out for the next one and then move onto Week 9. Which I can hardly believe.
Well done! When I had leg fatigue and cramp in the latter weeks it turned out I was not drinking enough and my shoes were too tight!
Thanks I’ll make sure I drink enough and check my shoes too. All these bits of advice are so important to me as a new runner thank you so much.
Congratulations! Getting close now! 😁
