What a few weeks it's been......a dissertation written, degree complete, job interviews and a hideous viral infection to boot. I've not had a run for 3 weeks, came back to week 7 run 1 and only managed 20 mins of the 25 mins running.....ran this morning and managed the whole 25 mins but don't feel like my running is improving much. Now I know that a few months ago I struggled running for 60 seconds, but now I feel the same struggle every run when the time increases.....does it ever feel easy or natural??? Not meaning to sound moany, just sometimes wonder if natural ability is a thing and I lack it π€π€

Wow.. you have had so much on and if all that was going on before the virus too.. no wonder you are feeling it. Awesome!!!
Just, maybe bow, pull back, and relax... let the legs, the new running legs, start to just find their own happy pace...
Start slow and stay slow... take everything in.... no pushing, just letting it happen...I am not sure it is about natural ability... or that any of us know how this will take us... I started, never imagining where I would get to and for me, it is about running and then rambling about it in posts and my running diary..what have seen and heard and found, sensations etc.
For you maybe now...just chilling after your really mammoth achievements has got to be prime... just run... let everything float behind and see how that feels?
Go you !!!

You have had a break.............your progress will have slowed.
You need to run regularly to reap the benefits and for it to become "easy".

Take your time. Relax and enjoy. Your body will find its own pace x
