No second gear

BreathlessGrandad profile image

I’m in week 9 and have managed to do the sessions without too much pain. The problem is I’m stuck in first gear. To get to 5k I had to run for 55 mins on Saturday and today managed to hang on for an hour. When I stopped there was a bright 1p coin on the pavement in front of me. I claimed it as my finishing medal.

All day long you'll have good luck! 🍀 You know you're only supposed to run for 30 minutes in Week 9? Most of us graduate Week 9 without reaching the magical 5km!

Well done but you should only be running for 30 minutes don't worry about getting to 5k you've got plenty time to do that 😊

well done, at least you have gears!

as the others said, just make it to 30 mins and stop, you can gradually increase your 30 mins after you get more km in your legs and consolidate your running

I finished the programme without making it to 5K

3 weeks later I made it, it will come

Well done 👍 you!!!

You have at least got to 5k.

I have graduated but not got to 5k quite yet.

You have made me set my next week runs to keep going until I get there - thanks.

BG, don't worry about getting to 5k😆 only need to get to 30 mins, the 5k can wait and the speed will come, build up gradually..😉

Thanks all. Reckon patience is the key.
