I have done it! Started On Jan 18th and completed a.m this morning. It’s taken a while as my elderly Father’s been ill,I work all over the place ,Great Grandchild minding and all the other the things in life that fill one’s days up! I’ll continue doing a few more wks of wk 9 as I’m not running a distance of 5k,prob more like 3 and a half! Onwards and upwards!

CONGRATULATIONS!! The time you took doesnt matter but you did it!!! woohoo. Just keep repeating week 9 for a bit and then add a little bit each week (max 10%) and you'll soon build up to 5km. Just to warn you, it will be another amazing feeling.

Thanks Couchpotato,I will keep ‘battling on’ to improve my speed, but not too much

it will come naturally by just keeping the regular routine up. Once you've consolidated on your 30 minutes then you can work on various things to improve speed but bear in mind out of 100% of your runs in a week 85% should be easy. And tbh it's much nicer anyway ;-)
