Slow is ok right?

Just finished week 3 run 3. Feel like I have more breath and recovery is faster. AmI ok still to go slow? I’ve never run before and very overweight. I’m working on principle it’s building stamina and ability to complete the times whilst still having a pulse!!! Is that right or am I deluding myself that I’m improving. #overthinkerforengland

You are absolutely right to continue to go slow. It’s vital to build up your aerobic base. Also, you will be in your fat burning zone for longer. Which is always nice.

Check this post out if you haven't already done so... essential reading.

You are doing exactly what you should be doing... taking it slow and steady... and listening to your body!

As the Original Grey Snail.. and the Lead runner in the SR...movement... ( Snails Rock) I can tell you you are doing brilliantly!

Huge well done to you...

Slow is good! I don't know if you know, but I was stuck on the second 5 minute run in week 4 for ages. Folk here told me to slow riiiiight down. It doesn't matter how slowly you go at all. The point is to keep moving for the duration. Speed will come later.

Well done Vintage. I'm proud of you x

Another snail here, slow and steady is actively encouraged and supported during c25k.

I'm so slow that I'm sure a snail over took me yesterday! Slow and steady is my mantra, speed will come with time 😊

Slow is the way to go. You reminded me when you mentioned recovery. It's amazing how as you move through the programne how quickly this builds up , proving you are getting fitter as the weeks roll on. I'm always shocked when I stop/cool down thinking I can breathe normally very quickly.

Good luck .🙂

Slow is good!! I recently completed C25K for the second time and I’m still content being slow. I was running on the seafront in Spain recently and saw some power walkers, kept my distance as didn’t want to be overtaken by a walker 🤣🤣❤️
