well we just back from a week in hilly countryside, I packed my running gear and did intend continuing the programme but encountered issues. Being in unfamiliar place and preferring to run early as I overheat easily( you ladies of certain age understand), I decided to take of one our dogs as my protector - BIG BIG mistake
We set off with poop bags phone and keys all prepared. We covered about 100 yards and she needed 100 wees, wanted to chase anything that moved. Then it started raining- this terrier hates rain so she refused to budge in any direction other than homeπ³
and so I had a week of not running tho we did lots walking- hence I was a bit perturbed at restarting week8run3 today but then I thought what the hell, I will give it a go and if I cant do it then its not the end of the world I can try again- so with a casual frame of mind I was up early to run β did pre run stretches , set off and RESULT I nailed itπͺ yes it was hard but kept it slow and steady, distracted myself from looking at the time and it was finished SOoo happy
any newbies still reading this ramble take comfort β this 58yr old unfit person struggled to run 60seconds not so long ago now can do 28 minutes - YOU CAN TOOπ’πββοΈπ
