Well after my run 1 debacle where i took it outside for the first time and hated every minute due to my knee pain, i got back on the treadmill and repeated it.
I also did run 2 on the treadmill and got through the full 25 minutes. Today was run three and since having my gait analyzed and a new pair of properly fitted trainers I have been dying to try outdoor running again.
Well what a HUGE difference! I still find it hard as there is nowhere totally flat round here. When I got the massive incline up to the castle i did have to walk that bit but otherwise I managed the full 25 minutes. I took the Labrador with me which was a mistake as i needed to keep her on a lead and today Princess Nala was not in the mood. Instead of her dragging me along it was me dragging her. Not great for finding your pace! Next time she can stay at home! Oh well at least she didn't turn one out as running with a flapping poo bag is really hard!
Ps. Did i mention I love my new trainers? 🤣

Welcome to the great outdoors. Welcome to vitaminD, that warmth on your shoulders, the scents of flowers, the bright greens of the new leaves and the cool breeze.
Put up with uneven surfaces, exhaust fumes and dog walkers on one side of the pavement with dog on the other.
Outside is really so much better. I hope you are able to continue your final few runs in the fresh air. They are about to start polishing a badge with your name on it in Admin land. Enjoy the remaining runs to qualify for it. Not long now👍 How about let the dog carry the bag? Tie it to the collar?
🤣 a flapping poo bag! Well done on getting outside, inclines are a nightmare when you’re not used to them aren’t they?! I’ve orchestrated my route so that the biggest hill is on my warm up and the rest is relatively flat 🙈
So pleased your trainers are awesome though AND, great job hitting week 7! 😍👍🏻
Thanks Teebedders! I am just a little bit pleased with myself! I wish i had a nice flat park to run around as i can go and go on the flat but unfortunately I don't. These inclines really test my ability to crawl! Might have to invest in a second pair of trainers for my hands! 😂
wow you doing great Lindsey, those magic trainers 😊 wil av t save n treat myself wen we graduate - not long now👍
I have been away for couple days , it was very hilly, got up early n thought I had better take a dog for protection with it being strange area so took one of the terriers, never again😳 she wanted to water every tree, chase anything that moved then it started to rain n she hates rain so she sulked and refused to run so I abandoned it so have had few days off Back home now so tomorrow catch up with week 8 run 2 again🤞🏻
Oh dear! I thought it was just mine! I just had this lovely vision on me and the dogs lolloping around together but alas it looks like i am going to have to walk them separately!
I'm glad everything is well with you, i thought you had been a bit quiet! I hope you enjoyed your break and i admire your dedication to the cause....i don't think i would have been as disciplined! Good luck with your next run, those new trainers are almost within your grasp now!
