As i've reached week 7 and found the 25 minute runs ok (i wouldn't say easy). I think running is going to become a long term thing. So decided to ditch my cheapo trainers for some proper running shoes and get a gait anaysis done at the same time. Yesterday i toddled off to a running shop in Alderley Edge (not sure we're allowed to advertise ... anyway thanks Running Bear 🙂). Anyway it was quite painless.. they gave me a pair of neutral shoes and i hopped onto the treadmill and i have a neutral gait. Fast forward me hopping on and off the treadmill trying different shoes the piccy is the result. The shop assistants were knowledgable and all runners themselves so was nice to have a chat about c25k with them.
Anyway... the good news is that they're sooooo much more comfortable than my old ones. The bad news is that i did W7R2 this morning and they haven't made me run any faster.. ah well 🤨 🙂
