Why does Laura say half way through run "it's not about speed, it's about distance." If the run is fixed at 28 minutes, is this not the same thing?

I did the US version so don't take this as gospel
I would bet my house though that Laura means "Don't worth about how FAR you run, at this point it's about building up the stamina to run for a longer TIME"
Stamina comes first, speed later is what most of us find

I noticed that too. I think it’s a mistake.

Yeah, I think that should be duration.

You've reached half way. That's 14 minutes over with. You can consider changing your pace, but just remember, at the end of the day, it's about distance, not speed.
The advice about 'distance not speed' should be taken as advice for the future. Us novice runners are encouraged to run slowly, but for further after graduation / consolidation to build stamina and endurance. There is really no need to run faster, unless you start entering timed races and want to improve your personal best.
I suppose that, to be accurate for 14 minutes into W8, the voice-over should be ... it's about time, not speed.
