Tried to do 10k!

Really tried to do a 10k trail run last Sunday, luckily there was a 5k option so as lap 1 finished I ducked out. It was hot, the ground very uneven, lots of long grass, lots of hills - never run off road before, it was all too much πŸ˜³πŸ™ƒ. Never mind, received a lovely medal and certificate for the 5k and was for a great cause, so all's well 😎.

The set up was great, well marshalled, it was fun, and that's what it's all about..well, for me it is anyway. Happy running πŸŒ»πŸ™‚

Well done for trying but yes, off road is very different to road running. It really tests your ankles and knees so best to start bit by bit.

The fun part is always the best part! πŸ‘πŸ€˜πŸ˜

Thank you, it was as a hard decision, but definitely the right one...it was a gruelling course! It was great anyway to sit in the sunshine and cheer everyone else in. Happy days :) happy running.

Yes, not easy to know when to stop and sounds nice to just sit in the sun β˜€οΈ

Thank you Debston, you might well get a picture, if I can work out how. Dont hold your breath!

Quite like the 'bling' - I'm a very late developer, never ran a race back in my school days, seems now that I'm in my dotage, retired and a grandmother that I run races! Very strange...but I like it :). Happy running.

Fabulous, am sure you can work it out! I'm hopefully getting my first bit of bling on Sunday... My first ever 5km race and all finishers get a medal!
