Hello from the sick couch!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been sick with a chest infection for over a week and I’m actually looking forward to getting back to it.

When I graduated C25K I didn’t know what to do next. I wanted to keep running every week and I didn’t think I would want to get to 10k.

So I did a few consolidation runs and found it a bit of a struggle and joined the Bridge to 10k forum for something to spur me on.

I went on holiday and managed to climb an immense hill on a very rough rocky track because my fitness had improved so much! I ran on the beach in the early morning too there and loved it.

And as soon as I got back I graduated 10k!

Sometimes plugging on is worth it for the unexpected surprises that come from it.

I am looking forward to the weekend and getting back to it with a 5k. I’ll get back to 10k when it feels right but a few 5k runs will do for now!

Xxx

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick, hopefully you’ll be fully over it by weekend and that wonderful 5k comeback run. Congratulations on graduating 10k and now you know you can do it, it’s only ever a few weeks work from your great fitness base and 5k. Happy running.

Congratulations on hitting 10K! I remember your fantastic photo from your climb! Very inspirational. Well done and enjoy some comfy 5k runs.😊

Hi there! Sorry you’ve been unwell but I’m so impressed by your running achievements! I’m repeating W6R3 tomorrow after being away for work and sluggish about getting back to the programme. Your post has re-inspired me. 😊 x
