My first ever post. I have been following this community diligently through my journey of C25K and I have always found it useful.
Today I completed week 7 run 2 and i have found this week so so tough. Has anyone else? Week 6 run 3 I absolutely loved and I thought this week I would be feeling great but its the complete opposite.
I have really enjoyed the last 6 weeks but I am feeling quite disheartened. I have however kept my pace up (I know it's not the point but I felt like I was going sluggish so I checked my fitbit). My legs are feeling really heavy when starting to the run. Do I need more fluids? more stretching?
Any advice would be great. I really want to keep going as I have lost weight and mentally felt better up until this week. π

Don't worry we all get a run now and again that doesn't quite go to plan . As for feeling sluggish you may need even more water 7 days a week and extra when it's warm good luck π
It could be just one of those days, I've had a few, the next run was better.
It could be fluids or stretching too, or you might find you need to slow down for those extra 5 minutes until you get used to them, but there is no reason to be demotivated, you've got this - you did it even though the gremlins were telling you it was awful!
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing, stretching after every run and hydration.
Enjoy your journey
It is quite a mental transition up to the continuous runs and I had a bit of a blip at this stage. It could be that you just need to allow yourself an extra rest day occasionally and there is no harm in that. Do keep your fluid intake up, especially in the warmer weather and now you are doing longer runs. Dehydration can lead to your legs feeling heavy. Don't worry about pace. if you need to go slower then do and don't feel guilty about it.You are learning to run for 30 minutes at your own speed. Be kind to yourself. You are going to be fine.π
