So a year ago this week I started the C25K journey never believing for a minute how much it would change my life. From the first day I found myself loving the challenge and couldnβt wait for the next time. I had Jo in my ear and she was so motivational really making me believe I could do it. I remember W5 R3 just being the most amazing feeling the buzz was incredible and I have since found out that running over 20 mins always gives me the same high, I love it! Time constraints meant it was September before I finally graduated having also completed my first park run a week or so earlier and that was it I was officially a runner!! I lost a stone at the beginning and now running helps me maintain my weight without dieting a massive bonus π by far the best thing I did after graduating was join a local running club we run at around 10mins a mile and have a fantastic group of people who are now also friends, if we want to run faster or further than 4 miles there are two other groups at the club to run with. I will be 50 in November and I am the fittest and have the most energy i have had since school π
Sorry for the long post but for all the people who are thinking of doing C25K or for those with doubts I hope my tale will give you a bit of a boost you too could end up like me ! πββοΈπββοΈ
