I ‘ve done it!!

Just come back from completing my W9R3 and it feels great!! Although in 30min I only did 3.2K but with the passage of time and repeated runs I should be able to get to 5K. I am just wondering what should I do next? Should I keep on repeating week 9 until I have improved ? I have kind of got used to the voice of Jo Whiley encouraging voice 😀. Any ideas will be appreciated!!

Hi and Congratulations!!! Don't forget to ask for your graduation badge!

I am re-running week 9 for 3 weeks just to get used to running for 30 mins, some people are adding in hills some are doing shorter distances but a bit faster.

once I have done these three weeks of consolidation I will start pushing harder for getting to 5K (I don't run 5K in 30 mins either :D), then I will try and speed that 5K up a bit.

Another goal is to get to 10K and I will head on over to the Bridge to 10K forum for a bit of inspiration there.

There are some "stepping stone" podcasts that can help with the transition - I haven't tried them yet as I am still redoing w9 to consolidate

Thanks for the advice. Seems that I shall be doing the same thing and repeating W9 for consolidation. I have heard the "stepping stone " but just don't feel ready for it at the moment.

Thanks !! That was the first name that popped into my mind when I was thinking about my user name - definitely a lazy person a few weeks back!!😁.
