OhMmmGee! Please can I count it as 5k??!!

Well I don’t know where that came from, but it felt brilliant!! After a really chaotic few days it was just great to get out this evening to run and just put my energy into something else.

I still haven’t convinced my little run buddy to join me again since she dug her paws 🐾 in during week 2, but hey-ho, she posed for a photo!

W8R3 ✔️. Week 9 I’m coming to get you!!

Well done my lovely and such a great time ! Your doing so well....not only are we neighbours but you have my dog 🤣 mine is identical !

Do you go to the Hayling Island cockapoo meet ups ?

in reply toRunRunRun13

Thank you 🙏🏻

I’ve had such a busy week that I thought if any run was going to be a repeat run then it would be this run. This has happened to me before - by some strange fluke I run really well when I don’t think I will. Maybe because I don’t set myself any expectations.

I’ve never heard of the Hayling Island meet ups - I need to find out more. I just love that cockapoos all recognise each other and go bonkers!

I’m beginning to wonder if we’ve already met ......on P Common?

Such a great feeling when you have a good run and not expecting it...lifts you up for the day and this is why we run.

You never know we may have bumped into each other somewhere !

Will send you a private message with details of the Hayling meets if you ever fancied it x

Wow Delly-dot, you are doing great and such a gorgeous little dog too 😊👍

I had 0 expectations about tonight’s run and just enjoyed getting out. It was so warm though! Gorgeous little dog is a honey, bonkers, but gorgeous!

You win today's cute picture prize 😊 and yes I would very definitely be calling that 5k. I'm sure it's well within the margin for error! Great job Dd.

Thank you! She knows she’s cute and is perfecting the most pathetic puppy dog eyes look!! Has us all completely wrapped round her paw.

I very much like “the margin of error” idea. 😊 I’ve not thought about it that way. My Fitbit tracker said 5.14k but since I’ve been tracking my runs I’ve always gone by Strava on my phone.

Ah well, when I go running with couchpotato2, her Strava is always short on distance compared to my Garmin GPS watch. I prefer to believe my Garmin 😁

I had to run extra to get all my apps to say 10km last month, the last thing I wanted!

Ah well done! You’ve got a good pace going there too! My run today was 8.49 avg pace. I must admit though I’ve been quite fatigued for the rest of today. I put it down to the weather!

in reply toJaniceG68

It was warm! I was running thinking a little shower of rain would be most welcome!!

Well done! I think that counts as 5k, yes. :)

in reply toPianism

Thank you! Good to hear from you. Grumpyoldgirl said I should count it too as fits well within the margin for error. I’ll take that! 😊

Absolutely. TBH, my parkrun rarely comes out as quite 5k... always 4.9something. And I most definitely count that. :)

Yes definitely! I was taught in school (and have always assumed for tax returns) to always round up! That is definitely 5k 👏👏👏

Love your Doggle, very cute!

Mine also refused to run with me unless off the lead in the forestry. On lead never ends well for either of us 😂

in reply toLindsey-joy

I like your tax return thinking! Rounding up sounds good! Grumpyoldgirl said it fits in the allowed margin for error. Would be nice to see the 5 before the decimal point though.... fingers crossed 🤞🏼 maybe...

Well done Delly Dot. You are still doing great I see. My next run is W8R3 as I repeated R2 as I didn’t complete it first time round. But I am not getting anywhere near 5k so you are doing amazingly well. Definitely count it. Cute dog

in reply toFabat50

Thank you. It was probably a one-off! Loved you Sydney post. Must have been wonderful to run out there.

Loved running in Sydney although I didn’t run very well. But hey ho - still better than being on the couch. Parkrun Tourist 😀
