W4R2 - completed, sort of. I can count it as done, right?

After the high last run, I went into this run fairly confident (yay, me!) I could finish it. It mostly went okay! No overly enthusiastic starts or falling leggings! Okay, there was an almost falling me. I tripped up but managed to not fall flat on my face. Only issue was I stopped/ walked most of second 3 minute interval! Probably about half of it. Calves were demanding attention and I could sense a cramp coming so I shook my calves out whilst I walked through to the next 5 min run. I was quite annoyed so ran an extra minute into the warm up walk. I guess that proves, I can run for more than 5 minutes 😂 I shall remember that for next week when gremlins get louder. In hindsight, maybe I could have powered through but I was worried that I won’t be able to finish the next 5 minute run. I can count this as done, right? We’ll see how next run goes. *goeslookformorecalvestretches*

Your choice.... I would repeat it and do it to the letter.. and because having struggled, I would want to get it right...but that is just me:)

Yes you are right! I was mostly thinking out loud with the post and hadn’t fully decided yet. I probably will choose to repeat it

Well done.

Bear in mind that this is a training plan designed to build your body, not a tick box exercise. If you are happy that you completed the demands of the run, then fine, move on. If you have any doubts, repeat the run.

You are in control.

Thanks for the reminder! You are right, it is my training plan so I can choose. Clearly from the doubt on this post I am not that happy I completed the demands. Will run an extra day. Will only make me stronger

I’d repeat... what’s another couple of days on a plan that’s adding years to your life? Your call though.

Very true! Like iannodaTruffe mentioned, i am suddenly thinking of it is a tick box exercise which isn’t the point of this or my goal.

Good job, even if you struggled. I did repeat some runs, as sometimes it's better to do just another run to be more confident and ready than to push too hard. But if the struggle was just because of falling leggings / bad day, well... I'd probably try to do the next run and then decide what to do.

So whatever you choose, have a good run!

I was kidding myself. I was always going to repeat! I am a perfectionist. Thanks for the encouragement:)

It is just beginning of our running journey, so one additional run is like additional practice to make us stronger and more confident.

So enjoy your next run!
