Graduation run number 20

Well undertook graduation run 20 tonight. It was cooler, a bit breezy and I ran faster achieving my second fastest 5k under 30mins. So good still running with Laura and my music. Still following the advice, days rest at least between runs and fluids and still achieving what I set out to do. Run 5k under 30mins another good result. Good luck to you all out there stick with the three rules, rest days between runs, plenty of fluids and run slow. In time you can speed up.

Well done, that's amazing.

Do you use the week 9 runs for your post grad runs if you are still able to use Laura or is there another app for after c25k that she does?

I just rerun week 9 Run 3 each time just like the reassurance of Laura. There are other apps out there but you get used to what your like.

Laura is also on The Stepping Stones Podcasts, there as far as I know 3. Stepping Stones, that is around 35 minutes, Speed+ about 18 minutes and a stamina one, not sure how long that is as I have only ran the first one and prepared myself for the second run which I am planning to do on Friday.

All good here thanks, I'm nudging slowly towards 10k, and feeling stronger. Keep getting colds and throat infections, which is slowing me down, but overall, doing ok 😊

I had just completed week 8 run 2. I had covered 3.79 Kms in 28 minutes. How did you improve the speed? Did you do after graduation?

Hi achievefitness I had managed 5k on or near to the end of C25K. I think it’s due to the stamina built up and the getting used to and now being accustomed to running. I have only been running since the second week of January 2019 although I would say I do agility with my dog a lot of the year so do minute runs at training doing the C25K was to be able to run for longer whilst giving instructions to my dog whilst running so that when I came out the agility ring at the end I could still standup

you have done brilliant !!

my pb at pr is 33.49...i am able to fit in 3 or 4 more pr`s before a busy load of summer shows and am hoping to get nearer the 30min.

on an agility note,my aim is to be more confidant with blinds ketchs ect in the ring to also be able to save precious seconds there too :)

For me it’s a bit late trying to teach my dog new ways as next month he will be ten. So I run to be able to run with him and talk and encourage him. We will enjoy our last few Champ shows that we do and hopefully see how we go next year when the jumps come down to 300mm for him. If we have to go to Allsorts then that’s what we will do and I will increase my judging commitments. Judging at Dartford this week with over 400 dogs in what promises to be a hot day.

400 !! wow a marathon day-take my hat off to you.

i think i will be forever g3 as big classes (although staff will be intermediate nx year)

my big dog (awb) needs 8 jumping points for champ in uka,he does perfect rounds but wont hurry himself and always 1 or 2 sec tf`s.i hope he can do it then retire to casual.staff is champ in preformance and both are champ in s/c.

next stop is thames :)
