scary 20mins done

completed the scary week 5 20minute run on FRIDAY. I was worried about the run all day but just went for it and its all about your state of mind. Once completed I actually got a bit emotional. It was pretty uplifting. I do see the reasoning now because the next lot of runs suddenly seem easy.

Very well done! I’ll be doing my week5 scary 20mins on Thursday. Nervous and excited!

You will love the feeling when you finish this. Just focus and keep a steady pace. You are ready. Enjoy.

Good luck! Got mine planned next sunday.. feeling confident! The program keeps having me do things I thought were impossible, so this should work :)

That's the hardest run of the program in my opinion, its a phycological thing, once you realise what your body is capable of then it frees you.

That's good to hear. I ran w5 d1 yesterday, went too fast and pulled my calf muscles so frustratingly will be out of action for a few days. Pumped for w5 d3

Sorry to hear that but you will be back, stronger, faster, quicker and ready again to achieve. I think its so important to warm up properly. not sure the 5 minute walk does that to well.

Yeah I think you're right, we'll need to start stretching beforehand otherwise it will happen again.

While you are out, Watch YouTube Japanese Slow Running Man. His speed is fast and safe enough to get to 30 minutes running. Speed can come later. Enjoy your 5/3 and the others too.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3
