I had been warned to take this one slowly although unsure why exactly? So that is what I did and it was absolutely fine.
It was actually annoying having to go back to a walk in between runs as I would have found a comfy pace and gone to my Special Place in my head (it's ok, they know me there π) and then it was back to walk before having to find that nice pace again.
I used to live for the walk breaks! This must be a good thing, right? π

I am always congratulating people on completing run 3 of week 5 as its a milestone run with C25K but I always warn them to take run 1 of week 6 particularly slowly as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs because of the exact reason you found that run today. No runner likes to go back to walks after run 3 of week 5 because like you they have found a nice running pace.
The muscles in your legs have got used to running, not run/walk intervals. Run 2 of week 6 is the last one with interval walks πΆ and runs, after that it's all runs. π
Well done you, did mine yesterday so I could have lie ins this weekend! I made the mistake of going fast ish and I found it hard. This is the first time in weeks that my legs are aching - they still are a bit today. Although I don't think a day of gardening is going to have helped! Actually now, same as you, I just want to run. Just 1 more lot of intervals!
