After struggling with week 8 I was determined to enjoy week 9.

Lots of stretching and a brisk warm up walk, I settled in my run on long the canal. As I finished my first 5 mins, I noticed 2 Canadian geese happily swimming along with me. Finally, running companions!

I can’t say it was easy but when I stopped worrying about my slow speed I even enjoyed it.

It was such a lovely day on the canal with so many “mornings”, smiles, thumbs up and even a wink of encouragement. To think that when I started this program I’d only run after dark so I wasn’t seen.

I’m been looking back at my progress and maybe because I’m so close to graduating, It’s been emotional. I’m so proud to say, I can run for 30mins!!!

It’s a beautiful day people, happy running.
