W5R3 - this run got delayed twice due to work and a hangover. It completely got in my head. When I finally did it I was stressed and the minute I started to run my chest and breathing seized up. I’m not sure I got a deep enough breath for the whole 20 mins and therefore didn’t do great.
I reckon I managed to run for 17 mins but not the full 20.
I know not every run will be a good one but I now need to get my head straight to move on - any thoughts?

Think you’ve answered your own question MrsD - not all runs will be good ones and when that happens we need to clear it from our head and move on. Good luck with your next attempt!
You started to fast, probably. Don t forget to run at a space where you are able to talk to someone. Pacing yourself is the difficult bit. Hangover does not help to do a good performance too. Good luck on your journey to 5K
Pity that you did not complete run 3 of week 5 today, have Sunday off running and drink plenty of water, run run 3 of week 5 a little slower than you did today on Monday, that way you should compete what is a milestone run with C25K, good luck. 👍 🏃 😊
Firstly... congratulations on running for 17 minutes... that’s your longest run so far on the plan, and probably for a long time... celebrating that achievement is important. Don’t worry about the three that got away
Maybe hydration was off if you had a hangover recently, it takes a couple of days to get it back to 100%, and setting off slower would help no doubt. Take a rest day, and run the first half deliberately slowly next time out... you can do it.
Cool... and that particular PB is going to be beaten a lot of times. My tracker logs my longest ever run in both distance and duration, I like breaking those PBs more than the timed distance ones.
Put it behind you and do it again, I had an awful run on w9r2, don't know why, but it was awful, i had to practically beat myself up to finish it : ) It was "no you can't give up in the first 10 minutes, you know they're always bad, then look 5 more minutes and you're half way, then look you're over half way only 10 minutes to go, you can't have suffered so long to give up now, what 5 minutes to go ? You can't stop for 5 measly minutes" i dragged my sorry backside to the end and my face was redder than a ripe tomato and my legs felt like they had ankle weights on.
Then 2 days later I did w9r3 and it was so much easier...who knows why. Same running machine, same speed, same conditions...
Tldr ; you get bad runs, they won't all be like that
Well done for running for 17 mins. It sounds as if you know why the run was hard so next time make sure you are well hydrated and well rested before you get going.
Celebrate the good runs and Just move on from the harder ones and be kind to yourself.
I've just finished w6 and have had some runs that have been really hard but also some that have been great. I'm delighted as I build up my running time because the day after wkr1 I could barely walk.
