20 mins I ran for. Actually 20 mins and 12 seconds. I cannot believe it. I have been away for the weekend and while I was away I ran W5 R2 twice with two of my daughters
Got home today and my 26 year old son decided I should attempt run 3 and he said he would come with to provide encouragement. A few times i nearly gave up but he kept me going ... Just run to the next turning and see how you feel ... Let's just make it passed the church and see how you feel ... May as well run passed the school now etc etc
My legs are like jelly but I am so pleased that even jelly legs can't wipe the smile off my face.

Yay! Well done 🤗😀 That's a tough run. Hope you gave your son a hug for his support ( or is he like mine and runs a mile at such things?!) Enjoy your rest day then on with W6 🏃👟👟
Thanks. After running 20 mins even though i was absolutely positive I wouldn't be able to do it then I'm feeling confident and looking forward to week 6.
It's amazing that Laura never seems to ask you to do something beyond your capabilities. That's not to say she makes it easy. Hope you are enjoying it all 🙂
Well done Titch121 ! It was only about a month ago you were saying "I can't believe I've just run for 90 seconds." Now you're running for a full 20 minutes. Imagine what you will be capable of in another months time!
Lovely post - we really do achieve so much more than we think we are capable of with this programme! That first 20 min run is a real milestone, I think and I bet your family are really proud of you! Good luck☺
Amazing - very well done! That is such a hurdle to overcome and well done to your son for the support. Just look out for W6D1 - it catches a lot of people out - you wonder why a run with breaks feels hard when you have already run for 20 minutes! Trust me though - as long as you are prepared for it you will be grand. Congratulations on your longest run ever!
It is! I graduated last October and have avoided run/walk ever since! If a run feels tough I ease up on my pace but prefer to keep on going!🙂🏃🏻 I know run/walk works well for some but I have found what suits me, I think.
Good for you, Titch121 :). Well done for keeping on with the running, and well done for bringing up your boy so well. My two sons are also taking an interest in gently easing me along on my running journey; makes a big psychological difference to have that support.
